Autograph collecting is a booming hobby in the U.S. with
signatures of celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe bringing thousands of
dollars on the auction block.
Pam Patterson, our Word Processing Supervisor, is a collector of
many things, including autographs. Recently we ran into Pam gathering autographs
at the local theater following the show.
Pam is also an avid NASCAR racing fan. She has autographs of some of the
greatest including Dale Earnhardt, who passed away recently at the Daytona 500,
and many members of the Petty family. Other famous autographs in Pam's
collection include Cale Yarborough, Buddy Baker, Ned Jarrett, Eli Gold,
Terry and Bobby Labonte, Johnny Benson, and Kenny Schrader.
When asked who provided the most special autograph she has collected,
Pam says she is proud that her collection includes signatures of Eartha Kitt,
Faye Dunaway, Dennis Cole, Toni Tenille, Sally Struthers, Robert Goulet,
Petula Clark, Cindy Williams, and the 2000 Tony winners, Karen Szemba and
Boyd Gaines.
Pam enjoys her hobby and may enjoy its increasing value in future years.
